Large Moon

Description

Tonight I got my first go at imaging the moon that I've had for a while. I decided to try to take some large images and stitch them together later in autostitch. I quite like the results I got for my first go. I'm still not getting pictures as sharp or uniformally bright as I'd like. Anyone got any pointers?

Taken with a 10" Newtonian on a Dobsonian base. Home made camera bracket and old video camera used to capture, Movie Maker used to import to computer, AVI/MPEG converter used to convert to wmv file to avi, Registax V3 used to process, the pictures were stitched together in AutoStitch and Photoshop used to touch up.

I love the orientation and crispness of your moon shot! Great job! I don't have any pointers unfortunately, I am not a big fan of stacking photos, however I've seen great results from that entire process. There's an application called AstroStack that's free, but I've not used it enough to tell you if it's good or bad.
